As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of Japanese dishes, ensuring that they are cooked to perfection and delivered in a timely manner.
Your passion for Japanese cuisine and attention to detail will contribute to the overall success of our restaurant.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of Japanese dishes, focusing on teriyaki cuisine, following the restaurant's recipes and guidelines.
Ensure that food is cooked to the appropriate temperature, flavor, and texture.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cooking stations and kitchen equipment.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Monitor food supplies and ingredients, and communicate any shortages to the appropriate personnel.
Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations.
Assist in the development and improvement of menu items and cooking techniques.
Work collaboratively with other team members to provide exceptional customer service and a positive dining experience.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Line Cook, preferably in a Japanese or teriyaki restaurant.
Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine and cooking techniques.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality dishes.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Food Handler's Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods.
